Please don't try to overly intellectualize your voice.
Please don't assume your voice to be the same it was yesterday.
Please don't cage your voice with expectations of what it was before.
Please don't cage your voice.
Voice is a force of nature.
Voice is forever in motion, in flux, in change.
Voice is WILD, FREE in it's nature.
YOU are a part of nature. YOU, your cells, your being, is constant change and evolution.
Your voice changes and evolves all the time.
I know there are many techniques and ways to make your voice sound or be something you are wanting to express. The problem is that if you begin to expect you can control your voice like it would be a machine or an object - it is not. Your voice is affected by everything - the moods you have, are you inspired or sad, tired or excited, your dreams, your traumas. It is affected by your spirit, by your energy.
The shades your voice REALLY wants to express come from your present state of being - not a rigid, overly idolized images of how your voice should sound like. Your voice wants to express from spirit, from truth, from presence.
Can you approach every conversation you have with a new awareness?
Can you pay curious attention to your voice next to you open your mouth without criticism or judgement?
Can you feel HOW you want to sing the song today?
Can you let go of how it felt yesterday?
Can you allow your voice to be what it is NOW, in this moment?
Can you allow your voice to change?
Can you allow what comes through your voice and see how that is the best that can be in the present moment?
My voice has gone through a lot of changes throughout time. And though there is evolving and development, really no moment is better than the other. Every moment is as valuable if I just give it the value by being here, being in the now. The point is in feeling the voice, feeling my words, feeling the songs, feeling the resonance.
And that is how your voice transforms. It is not by trying to mold it into something, but surrendering into what is. If there is a craving for real transformation, there needs to be willingness to let go of control and allow yourself to step into the unknown.
This moment can give you all you need right now to move forward. In this moment lies the greatness of your voice, but you have to understand that your intellectual mind might not know the answer how to get there. You must trust your body, trust your intuition, trust your spirit, your senses, and leave all of your previous experiences behind you.
You have to step into the new, time and time again. And that will FREE your voice!
