This summer I was asked by Thalia, the editor in chief of Mogul Muse Magazine, to guest contribute in the next serial, with the theme "Fearless". Been following the magazine for a while my instant feeling was an excited "YES!". I felt I was in for a journey, a new journey. We went on creating new images for the serial, at the same time exploring my expression in new levels.
I think we always face up new fears when we enter new levels of expression and evolution. It is part of the game. Especially when working as an artist, performer and creative spirit there are some common fears that usually come, at least for me. Fears of not being good enough, beautiful enough, fear of being ridiculous, stupid, fear of failure, of imperfection.
It can be like glue on your face - hard to get it off. I sometimes got really washed away by it. The anticipation of exposure triggers deep parts of vulnerability.
When ever we choose to live a life of extraordinary, uniqueness and passion, we go through fear. Actually - that is often the thing that thinly separates us from living life to the fullest. But what really happens if we choose to step through? Are the fears really going to destroy us? And if they destroy, what do they destroy in the end? So what if someone doesn't like it? So what if I do something stupid? I think THAT is the moment we start to create our lives, create our dreams. We solidify our commitment.
Every moment is the right one to begin living a life that stands up for our dreams. A life that goes beyond the box. A life that is full of color, life and vividness. Which seems worse - walking through the fears and dissolving them, or letting them play the game and regret it later on?
I invite you to explore the new serial of Mogul Muse Magazine, Fearless, and be inspired! The download is available at their website.
